2021 Folk Festival Beer: Folkus Pocus

We continue the tradition of offering a special, limited-edition brew for the Richmond Folk Festival. This year’s edition has been specially brewed by Hardywood Park Brewing, located right here in Richmond! Hardywood officially began its mission to brew with purpose in late 2011 as one of only two craft breweries in the city of Richmond. The craft beer market has changed a lot since they first opened their doors, but Hardywood and its two locations are much loved by the community and a regular destination for beer aficionados from all over!

This year’s edition is a full-bodied, hazy IPA called Folkus Pocus with an ABV of 4.9%.

“We pulled out our shiniest cauldron for this special brew. There may not be any eye of newt, but you’ll find Folkus Pocus is full of freshly squeezed citrus and ripe peach characters from the Citra hops, further intensified by rounds of dry hopping with Rakua and Wai Iti hops straight from New Zealand. This full-bodied, hazy IPA is the ideal duet partner for your Folk Fest experience.“
