CarMax Family Area
Produced by the Children’s Museum of Richmond
This year’s theme is “out of this world”
Grab your space gear and blast off with the Children’s Museum to the Folk Festival’s CarMax Family Area! Families can discover the wonders of all things “Out of this World!” through crafts, games, and activities designed by the Children’s Museum. Kids (and grown-ups too!) can design their own astronaut helmet, engineer and launch a rocket, search for constellations, and even create a crater! Make sure to have your CarMax Family Area lanyard stamped at each station so that you can collect a prize at the end of your adventure!
Don’t forget to check out the City Singer’s tent for a music making adventure and Belton Entertainment’s otherworldly balloon creations!
About the Children’s Museum:
The Children's Museum is more than a fun place for children to play, indoors and outdoors (though it's definitely that!)—it's an active, involved opportunity for the whole family to grow and learn together.
All four locations of the Children’s Museum inspire growth by engaging families in the power of play, knowing that everyone can learn more—and learn better—when they play together. For more information please visit www.ChildrensMuseumOfRichmond.org
